Experience people's daily lives
When you experience peoples' lifestyles you feel a strong bond between yourself and the land you visited. Farm-inns are an excellent way to get a taste of Japan's halcyon lifestyle. Visit a farm, try your hand at farming, enjoy food you have harvested yourself, and chat with local farmers... Your stay will be a wonderful opportunity to relax and unwind by interacting with local residents and producers with strong community ties.
Japan has over 1,100 michi no eki (roadside stations). They sell local agricultural products and specialties, provide sightseeing information, and serve as excellent places to learn all about the local area. You can also sample foods and pick up souvenirs. In addition to michi no eki, be sure to visit farmer's markets, which also offer local specialties.
